PU stands for Polyurethane, abbreviated as PU. It is a polyurethane material made by the addition polymerization of organic diisocyanates or polyisocyanates with dihydroxy or polyhydroxy compounds. It is a polymer compound invented in 1937 by the German scientist Bayer.
Due to its superior performance, it is hailed as the "fifth largest plastic." PU stone is a wall decoration panel made by foaming high-density polyurethane material using specialized aluminum molds, followed by surface treatments for corrosion resistance, wear resistance, flame retardancy, and UV protection.
Products made with PU that mimic natural stone surfaces can be indistinguishable from real stone in appearance, yet are extremely lightweight, weighing only four kilograms per square meter.
